How to Apply 

The application process

Please review all the material included in the application package.

  • Complete the application form
  • Mail or fax, along with your current resume, to Mental Health First Aid Canada (MHFA Canada).
  • Arrange for one letter of support from your organization or two reference letters if you are self-employed that address the instructor criteria to be sent directly to MHFA Canada.
  • Send in payment for course fees with the application.
    • Pay by cheque made out to "Mental Health Commission of Canada"
  • After all information has been received, a telephone interview may be arranged with candidates.
  • You will be notified once a final decision has been reached.
  • If accepted, specific details regarding the training will be provided.
